The MullersHello and thank you for stopping by our site, we appreciate your taking the time to come and visit. Take your time, look around and feel free to contact us.

My name is Mitchell, and my wife is Liz. We have two children, Richard a Teenager of 16 as of this writing and our daughter Genny who will turn 11 in November.

Liz and I grew up in Southern California in Lakeside which is in San Diego County.

In 1989 my wife and I were listening to a Christian radio broadcast and through the seed planted there we were saved in November of that year. Shortly after receiving Christ as Saviour we moved to the Seattle area and began attending the Open Door Baptist Church of Lynnwood, WA.

Under the preaching of Pastor Ken Blue we grew in knowledge and began to learn how to serve the Lord with our lives.

We began to involve ourselves in ministry opportunities and in a few years I was over the Out Reach ministry and led up the Soul Winning program and the Bus Ministry. Liz was very involved in the Children’s Ministries, teaching in Junior Church and working with the Toddlers.

At a Missions Conference in 1995 we surrendered to be full time missionaries. I signed up for the Bible Institute and graduated Magna Cum Laude 4 years later.

During the training years at Open Door my wife and I served in a lot of different areas.

Pastor Ken Blue invited me along a few mission’s trips and I was glad that I was able to go. Going to India in 1995 really opened up my heart to the great need the world has to hear the gospel and the great lack of response to that need in God’s church. Returning to India in 1997 I felt that perhaps the Lord was calling my family there to serve. As the Lord would have it in 1998 Liz and I were chaperoning our Youth group in Mexico. There the Lord moved in a real way and the both Liz and I decided to leave our lives in America and go to Mexico to serve the Lord.

After talking to our pastor about it, we went out on deputation and 10 months later we were on the field.

We were led by God’s circumstances to a very small village in the Yucatan Peninsula. For 2 years we lived in the Mayan world and learned the language and the culture of this distinct Indian ethnic group within Mexico.

We moved to Chetumal, Quintana Roo, a town that borders the country of Belize, after a survey trip of the peninsula with some pastor friends.

In September of 2002 we started a Bible study group in our home.

By February of 2003 we inaugurated the Calvary Baptist Church with a membership of 50. Today we average 120-150 in service, reaching the lost one by one.

Calvary Baptist Church is a very friendly, family oriented and fervent soul winning, Independent Bible believing Baptist church. We take the responsibility of the ministry of reconciliation which the Lord has given us very seriously. Our mission on earth is a prime focus of the teaching with a strong emphasis on personal involvement.

Calvary Baptist now has 18 different ministries where some 40% of our church membership actively serves regularly.

Providing sound doctrine, personal opportunity to grow through service, a friendly atmosphere and a vision that leads us, we are blessed to watch this church grow.

Calvary Baptist personally knocks on every door of Chetumal every year. A city of 400,000 is no small task to reach, yet we are confident that through the Lord’s strength we will reach them for Christ!

Thank you for taking the time to read this page and may the Lord richly bless you.
